In the above picture you can find Stewart (in the glasses) with Lisa Whelchel (on the left) ,Greg Maraio behind them and Marcia Tysseling on the right. While I never got to meet Stewart in person, he was a client of mine for a very long time. Here's a shot from Collector's Call where they wrapped up a new episode last November. I was tasked with sculpting all of these.
You will be able to view his amazing original costume collection that Greg Maraio, David Costa (painter) and I helped to create this April 7th. You can find out more about it by clicking here to go to the Collector's Call website.
But that's not why I'm writing this blog post, to brag about accomplishments. It's because Stewart passed away suddenly this past week. We had a great working relationship between Greg, David and I to help bring about Stewart's vision. He wanted to share in the joy of displaying his original costume collection for others to enjoy, as well as to preserve them for future generations.
I know there were some loose plans to bring these out into the public to be seen in person at some point. The fate of the collection is unknown now, but I do want to send thanks to Stewart. I feel I'm a better sculptor after being given the opportunity to hone my abilities while getting paid to do so. It was a win-win for me and I hope that he was pleased with what we created. My condolences to his friends and family.
